Before 1970, women's history was rarely the subject of serious study. The Women's Movement of the 60s caused women to question their invisibility in traditional American History text books. The public celebration of Women's History in this country began in 1978. By 1981, the week became a national event, and in 1987 Congress expanded the celebration to a month. The 2007 theme for this month is "Generations of Women Moving History Forward."

Meet Joe and some of the powerhouse team of female leaders at Pulte Building Systems. Taken together, these women share over 30 years of field leadership experience – most having started in entry level positions and worked diligently to earn the leadership roles they hold today. Like Joe, their President, these women strongly believe in promoting diversity in the field and creating an inclusive culture where everyone’s ideas are heard and contributions are valued.
